I tried to explore the idea that people are made of colour. We are filled with different colours on the inside that help define our personalities and how we see one another. Some of us may be more pink, others maybe indigo, while others a gentle and mellow yellow.

What I’m getting at is that colours are all around us but also within us. I see people in colours. Sometimes as a kid I would imagine what colour someone was, or which animals they were in another life.

I’ve decided to portray portraits of strangers that struck a cord within me. I like the idea of keeping it a mystery as to who these people really are, where do they come from, are they happy, how old are they, what kind of life do they have…? All I know for sure is that they are colour, and colour is power.
